OmniPeace in Glamour Magazine

OmniPeace CEO Mary Fanaro was recently featured in a Glamour Magazine article. For all you fashionistas and trendsetters out there, she talks about how to wear a t-shirt and look stylish. Here is the article....

Expert Tips on How to Make a Simple Tee Look Super Stylish

Giorgio Armani once said "I consider the t-shirt to be the Alpha and Omega of the fashion alphabet," though ten bucks says he wasn't thinking of all the "That's What She Said" and Superbowl XXXXL crewnecks out there. We asked Mary Fanaro--style maven, good samaritan and total T-shirt goddess--to show us how to wear all those summery logo and statement tees without hitting any DON'T speed bumps.

LA-based Fanaro is the brains and beauty behind OmniPeace, a line of hip t-shirt, boots and accessories brand that donates a large percentage of it's proceeds to promoting education, human rights and ending extreme poverty in Africa. That means she's as thoughtful and she is stylish--a tough combo to beat. (And we're not the only ones who think so: Naomi Campbell, Jennifer Aniston and Sheryl Crow are all fans of Mary and her OmniPeace threads.) Here's what Fanaro had to stay about wearing tees, in style:

1. Before thinking about the fashion statement you are making think
about the personal statement you are making
: be sure you are wearing a logo
tee from a brand and mission you believe in.

2. Dress it up. Wear it under a tuxedo blazer, skinny jeans, and
great heels - this gives you more options for when to wear it so you can
represent your favorite brand in multiple situations

3. Make your logo tee your own. Show your individual style by belting
it, cutting off sleeves, go for an oversized tee, cinch it, and wear it as a
dress - just as the logo you choose is a statement, so should be the way you
wear it.
